2/24/13 Alice Keck Park memorial gardens, SB

Such a beautiful spot! Scott and I took a walk through after church.   The ducks are always there but we ran into the elusive hummingbird hanging around long enough to snap a few shots.

The church in the background is our Church, Unitarian Universalist Society..convenient, right across the street.

Beautiful drive from my job Mission Canyon Rd. in Santa Barbara above the Botanical gardens. It's about 3 miles from my house.  Every thing is close by in Santa Barbara It's a wild area..wouldn't be surprised to see a bear or cougar walking along the road or trail here.

House on the ridge overlooking the Canyon..cati and succulents surround.  It's green now from the recent rain but it does get dry here and sometimes becomes a "fire hazzard" area.

So great to live here in Santa Barbara with acess to the SB International Film festival.  Got to see Amy Adams close up when I ushered At the Arlington Theatre.  Then a few days later got seated 4 rows from the front to see Jennifer Lawrence accept her performer of the year award..very fun!

Top is Jen with the director of her academy award nominated film "Silver Linings".  fantastic film..my favorite pick for winner.

Photographed my fav. young family last week.  Hazel is so precious.  She's very active at 2yrs..kept me on my toes keeping up with her!  I like this backlit shot. Shows off her features.

I love shooting outside in beautiful natural surroundings. People are more relaxed and the lighting is more natural than in a studio setting.

Candid shots are good..along with the composed shots.
